If you couple that in with school/work AND the fact that's only the story (Plus 600 collectibles and little races for rewards.) then you have a LONG game. I can't remember how much time I spent when I first beat it, but I'm guessing about 13-ish hours. If you die as much as I did, t hen this game is pretty dang long. In the wastelands, you kinda get a "post-apoc" feel, and then in the city it's all futuristic. The games scenery & vehicles & guns & characters are all great. (not hard.) It may seem like you have alot of health with about 8-10 little circles in the beginning, but each hit from the first enemy in the game takes away 2 of those circles each time! I would consider myself a pretty good gamer, and I still find myself going "COME ON!!!" at this game. I've never seen anything like this and the way games nowadays are going, I doubt I will.
